I tried firing up MSTS this weekend for the first time after upgrading my computer to Win10 and ran into hours of frustration trying to get the sim to run. After another few hours of searching for fixes, I finally got it up and running! The main problem was not installing the program since we should all know about installing programs as an administrator, but with the AMD Radeon 6670 card that I have in my computer. There is a fix for the AMD bug that I found along with other problems others may run into while installing on the newer operating systems. Here are some helpful links:

Some Australian lines from Steam4Me, All of Rich Garbers routes including upgrades i.e. EM2, WVO-OHR with upgrades, Canton, Cumberland. MLT Niagara Corridor, plus a bunch I downloaded from Trainsim that I haven't gotten to yet!
Lately I've been mostly Running Railworks - TS2016 and I have a lot of routes from steam, NERW-Pa div, RW&A from Railworks America, Durango and Silverton from G-Trax.
I keep coming back to MSTS once in a while. There's lots to keep me busy!!!
